On November 20th, “The Sudden Unexpected Death Data Enhancement and Awareness Act” passed the U.S. Senate. Now, it needs to be passed in the House so PLEASE contact your U.S. House of Representative asking them to vote yes on H.R. 669.

To find your U.S. House of Representative, go to the home page for the U.S. House of Representatives and look at the right hand corner where you input your zipcode +4 and it will identify your member. The page also has each member’s phone numbers and websites to contact them.

“Honorable (Congressperson),

As your constituent, our family urges you to please vote ‘yes’ on H.R. 669 – The Sudden Unexpected Death Data Enhancement and Awareness Act. The bill passed the U.S. Senate on November 20th. The bill will help collect data to help better understand the causes of stillbirth deaths, Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). The purpose of the legislation is to help prevent the future deaths of children and the tragedies these deaths cause to families across the U.S.
